本楽曲は、委嘱者である中嶋尚也氏のいわば「ポートレイト」を描いたものであり、下記の3つの要素から構成されている。
・現在を象徴する「道」
様々な困難と直面しながらも、着実に歩みを進めていく様子。
・過去を象徴する「歌」
愛情、師弟の思いやり、心の内面の表現。
・過去から未来への連続性と発展を象徴する「樹木のファンファーレ」
中嶋尚也氏の思い出の楽曲のモティーフが、ファンファーレとしてさまざまに発展、成長していく。
本楽曲作曲にあたっては、幾分か古典的、あるいはポピュラー的な傾向を意識した。
This piece is a “portrait” of the commissioned player, Naoya Nakajima, and is composed of the following three elements.
In composing this piece, we were somewhat conscious of popular music tendencies.
“Road” which symbolizes the present, and shows him making steady progress in the face of various difficulties.
“Song”, which symbolizes the past, expresses affection, compassion between master and disciple, and the inner feelings of the heart.
“Fanfare of the tree” which symbolizes continuity and development from the past to the future. The motif of Naoya Nakajima’s memories develops and grows in various ways.
– I also spent the same school days in Akita and Yamagata, and I compose this piece while thinking about those days…
